The pre-order link for Bonded: Chronicles of Calan, Book II is now live on Amazon! It feels more than a little surreal to think that in less than a month I will have two published novels out in the wild.
When I embarked on self-publishing my first novel, Kyreen, just a mere eight months ago, I was terrified (you can read all about it in this blog post). This time around I feel much more prepared for the logistics. I know Amazon’s pre-order timetable; I have an editing schedule; and I have some awesome beta readers who have been giving me such good feedback. Plus the release of Bonded has been conveniently schedule so as to coincide with my husband’s and my holiday trek to Nerdtacular in Snowbird, Utah, so I will be sufficiently distracted when the e-book is released on July 1.
While I do not want to give away any spoilers, I will say Bonded feels more “grown-up” than Kyreen. Bonded is a darker novel than Kyreen as depicted by the awesome cover design created by Ryann Armstrong of Keylligraphy Ink. The plot of Bonded is more complicated than Kyreen‘s simpler girl flees for her life, girl grows up, girl returns home story of Kyreen. In Bonded we have friendship and love, betrayal and conspiracies, and a bit more of the fantasy element.
Keep an eye on this blog as I will be putting a couple of excerpts on this blog over the next couple of weeks similar to what I did with the release of Kyreen last fall.
